On a sweltering day in January 1788, seven clan leaders collect on a sandstone escarpment overlooking the harbour. The attendees, six of them Elders and one new provoke, catch up, chortle collectively, share a meal and examine notes. However past the pleasant banter, protocols, and hospitality, a momentous determination is ready to be made. A mysterious fleet of large ships is amassing within the harbour and as they creep nearer, these seven representatives should select unanimously: whether or not to ship these strangers on their method or welcome them? After its Sydney Theatre Award-winning premiere manufacturing on the 2020 Sydney Pageant, Muruwari playwright Jane Harrison’s play has been reworked for this model new manufacturing directed by Quandamooka man Wesley Enoch.
