Beijing:
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Xingwen county of Yibin metropolis, in China’s Sichuan Province on Wednesday morning, in accordance with the China Earthquake Networks Middle (CENC).
The tremor occurred at 7:50 am (Beijing time) as we speak, in accordance with Xinhua Information Company.
The epicenter was monitored at 28.22 levels north latitude and 105.03 levels east longitude, at a depth of 10 km, the CENC stated, in accordance with Xinhua.
No casualties have been reported to this point.
Earlier on March 26, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake jolted China’s Qinghai province.
The quake had struck town of Delingha within the province at 12.21 am as we speak. The epicenter was monitored at 38.50 levels north latitude and 97.33 levels east longitude, 126 km away from town correct, with a depth of 10 km, in accordance with the China Earthquake Networks Middle.
The epicenter was positioned in an unpopulated space at an altitude of 4,410 meters, Xinhua Information Company had reported.
There have been no villages inside 20 km of the epicenter, in accordance with the emergency administration bureau of Delingha.
Tremors have been felt by residents in Delingha and the cities of Jiuquan, Jiayuguan and Zhangye, the bureau stated.
Affected by the earthquake, a number of trains working within the area are anticipated to be delayed, in accordance with Xining railway station of China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd, the information company added.
