James Webb Space Telescope ‘may give the answer’ to whether there’s life in space

ANU astrophysicist and cosmologist Dr Brad Tucker says NASA’s James Webb Area Telescope will “actually present how massive the universe is”.

Dr Tucker mentioned a purpose of the telescope was to “have a look at the atmospheres” of chosen planets round different stars within the universe.

“We’re discovering numerous planets round these stars however one of many massive questions is does it have oxygen, does it have nitrogen, does it have water, might it have indicators of life,” he advised Sky Information host Andrew Bolt.

“The James Webb will present the primary picture of that and thru its profession be finding out these planets to see, yeah, are we alone.”

Dr Tucker mentioned the telescope was not but exhibiting if there may be life in area and “might give us the reply” to humanity’s solitary existence.
