DUBAI (Reuters) – Iran has detained eight suspects associated to Sunday’s assault on Shi’ite Muslim shrine within the southern metropolis of Shiraz, the judiciary stated on Monday, including that every one have been foreigners.

One individual was killed and ten individuals have been wounded, Iran’s Nournews reported, calling it a “terrorist assault” on the shrine often known as Shah Cheragh. Authorities stated a person had opened hearth on the shrine earlier than being arrested.

The judiciary’s Mizan information company stated the primary perpetrator was recognized as a citizen of Tajikistan whereas the nationalities of the opposite suspects, all international nationals, remained unknown.
