REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden stated on Sunday that he was disillusioned that Chinese language President Xi Jinping was not attending the summit of G20 leaders in India, however added that he was going to “get to see him.”

“I’m disillusioned … however I’m going to get to see him,” Biden informed reporters in Rehoboth Seaside, Delaware, with out elaborating.

Biden will go to India from Sept. 7-10 for a summit of the Group of 20 nations, adopted by a visit to Vietnam as his administration seeks to strengthen U.S. relations in Asia.

Xi is the prone to skip summit and Chinese language Premier Li Qiang is anticipated to signify Beijing on the assembly in New Delhi, sources accustomed to the matter have informed Reuters.

Requested if he was trying ahead to his journey, Biden stated, “Sure, I’m.”

“I would like a little bit extra … coordination. I believe they each (India and Vietnam) need a lot nearer relations with the USA and that may be very useful,” Biden stated.
