NEW YORK — The new play “Birthday Candles,” starring Debra Messing, opened on Broadway on Sunday.
Throughout the 90-minute play, Messing’s character ages from 17 years outdated to 107. It is a recipe for all times’s classes, friendships and love.
The manufacturing was delayed two years due to the pandemic.
Stars hit the pink carpet Sunday outdoors the American Airways Theatre for opening evening.
“I am so excited as a result of one among my finest buddies on the earth is starring on this. It has been a dream come true for her,” actress Kathy Najimy mentioned.
“Debra’s good friend of mine. I have been dressing her for a very long time, and I am simply so excited to see her,” designer Christian Siriano mentioned.
“It is simply nice to see the power again, the folks desirous to get out and have a good time dwell theater once more,” actor Bryan Cranston mentioned.
