Debt ceiling talks appear to have stalled

Negotiations on the debt ceiling stalled Tuesday as the White House and House Republicans remain divided over spending cuts. Discussions ended late Tuesday and economists warn that the stock market could crash and the economy may experience a severe recession if no agreement is reached and the United States defaults on its debt.
