The Twitter-left are tearing themselves up over Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter as a result of the tech billionaire “truly needs free speech,” says The Australian’s Sophie Elsworth.

It comes as Tech billionaire Elon Musk has finalised a deal to purchase the social media large for $US44 billion – equal to $AU61.3 billion.

The acquisition by Mr Musk ends Twitter’s run as a public firm since its first public providing in 2013 and will probably be one of many greatest acquisitions in tech historical past.

“It’d simply cap it off to deliver Donald Trump again onto Twitter – wouldn’t that ship them right into a spin,” Ms Elsworth advised Sky Information host Paul Murray.
