Jan. 9 (UPI) — A 42-year-old martial artist in India broke a Guinness World Report when he spent 55 hours, quarter-hour throwing punches at a punching bag.

Sidhu Kshetri was required by Guinness World Information guidelines to throw at the least one punch each 2 seconds and was allowed a 5-minute break every hour, which he was allowed to financial institution for longer breaks.

“I’ve been working towards martial arts for the final 25 years,” Kshetri informed Guinness World Information. “I’m focused on contributing to my nation, so I made a decision to aim this world file.”

Kshetri broke the earlier file by 5 minutes.

“The ache began across the 20-hour mark,” Kshetri mentioned. “At that time, I reminded myself that it was a take a look at of my limits. I believed that if I stayed emotionally sturdy, I might endure the ache.”
