He was appointed as Further Director (Impartial Director) of Manappuram House Finance Ltd. w.e.f. February 2, 2017 after which, he held the submit of Managing Director of Manappuram House Finance Ltd from June 2017 to Might 2021. Later, he was re-designated as a Non- Govt Director of the stated Firm with impact from June 1, 2021.
Acharya is a practising Chartered Accountant from Bengaluru with about 30 years of expertise. Earlier, he was a member on the board of SBM.
