A magnitude 2.8 earthquake with an epicenter in El Cerrito shook the East Bay on Friday, March 11, 2022.
USGSA 2.8 earthquake gave the East Bay a short shake on Friday morning, the USA Geological Survey reported. The shaker’s epicenter was within the Hillside Pure Space within the city of El Cerrito, preliminary stories indicated.
The quake was recorded at 9:44 a.m. It had a depth of three miles. Shortly after the earthquake, 133 individuals reported feeling it to the USGS. There was no preliminary phrase on harm or harm, although quakes between magnitude 2.5 and three are often the smallest quakes felt by individuals.
