The Federal Aviation Administration mentioned two folks had been aboard the Airborne Windsports Edge 912 weight-shift management plane when it crashed in Granite Shoals, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Austin.
The Texas Division of Public Security confirmed that two folks died within the crash.
The FAA and the Nationwide Transportation Security Board will examine.
The motorized plane, also referred to as a trike, has a wing just like a hang-glider and a three-wheel tricycle-style undercarriage.
