All public sector banks can be holding a credit score outreach drive throughout districts on Wednesday June 8, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). As part of the drive, authorities can be listening to out prospects and the general public about their queries on credit score services and on enrollment in varied authorities schemes, the Finance Ministry stated in a press launch on Tuesday.
These district degree programmes are being coordinated by all Public Sector Banks and State Stage Bankers Committees (SLBCs), the MoF stated.
The programmes are a part of the MoF’s celebrations, which is able to happen from June 6 to 12, 2022.
All SLBCs have been directed to conduct credit score outreach programmes, enrolment in Jan Suraksha Schemes of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), buyer consciousness and monetary literacy, and appropriately recognise the nice work completed by the branches, BCs, the MoF stated in its launch.
As a part of the AKAM celebration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Jan Samarth portal on Monday, which is a credit-linked portal that includes 13 authorities initiatives aimed toward easing credit score availability.
