The NYPD posted video of the rescue operation in Ridgewood on April 8.
The officers, together with the assistance of Animal Care Facilities and ASPCA, eliminated the birds from a makeshift hen coop discovered close to railroad tracks.
They have been dwelling in deplorable circumstances.
It is unclear who left them there.
