Sen. Ben Cardin says Capitol Police investigating former staffer’s alleged sex tape

Washington — Sen. Ben Cardin stated Capitol Police are investigating after information studies linked considered one of his former aides to a intercourse tape that was allegedly filmed in a Capitol Hill listening to room. 

The Maryland Democrat advised reporters Monday that he was “offended” and “dissatisfied” by the incident. 

“It is a breach of belief,” he stated. “It is a tragic state of affairs, and it is offered a whole lot of anger and frustration. I am involved about our workers and the best way that they really feel about this.” 

Capitol Police stated Saturday they had been conscious of the incident and “trying into” it. 

The Every day Caller printed components of the video on Friday that allegedly reveals two males having intercourse in a Senate listening to room. CBS Information has not independently obtained the video or confirmed the identification of the people concerned. 

After it was reported that considered one of his staffers was concerned, Cardin’s workplace launched a press release saying: “Aidan Maese-Czeropski is not employed by the U.S. Senate.” 

In a press release on his LinkedIn account, which has since been deleted, Maese-Czeropski stated, “This has been a troublesome time for me, as I’ve been attacked for who I like to pursue a political agenda.” 

“Whereas a few of my actions previously have proven poor judgement, I like my job and would by no means disrespect my office,” he stated. “Any makes an attempt to characterize my actions in any other case are fabricated and I can be exploring what authorized choices can be found to me in these issues.” 

Cardin stated he was unaware of his former aide having another disciplinary points, and he had not talked to the previous staffer when requested if the staffer had apologized. 

“I can not speak about different workers, however I’ve not talked to him,” Cardin stated.
