Blumenthal’s damage occurred when one other parade goer fell on him and he’ll bear routine surgical procedure on Sunday, Blumenthal stated.

“What can I say, I like a parade! Because of Chris & everybody for the effectively needs. I did certainly fracture my femur after a fellow parade goer tripped & fell on me in the course of the parade at present. Routine surgical procedure tomorrow simply to ensure the whole lot heals correctly. I count on a full restoration!,” Blumenthal, 77, tweeted Saturday.
Blumenthal’s tweet was in response to Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., commending Blumenthal resiliency.
“FYI after he broke his femur he bought again up, dusted himself off, and FINISHED THE PARADE,” Murphy tweeted. “Most Dick Blumenthal factor ever.”
