A small plane crashed on the Haulover Inlet Bridge in Miami Saturday, Miami-Dade Hearth Rescue stated.
Six folks have been reported injured. Their situations are presently unknown and no fatalities have been reported.
The incident occurred round 1 p.m., when a single-engine Cessna 172 misplaced engine energy and landed on the bridge, based on preliminary data from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The airplane struck a automobile whereas touchdown, the FAA stated.
Video from the scene of the crash confirmed the airplane on hearth and a broken SUV close by on the bridge.
The plane, which had three folks on board, was en path to Key West Worldwide Airport from Fort Lauderdale Worldwide Airport.
Following the crash, a 3-mile stretch alongside the bridge route was closed in each instructions, police stated.
The FAA and Nationwide Transportation Security Board are investigating the crash.
