Tiger Woods announces he’s ended Nike partnership after nearly 30 years

Golf legend Tiger Woods mentioned his partnership with Nike is over in a statement on social media platform X Monday. 

“Over 27 years in the past, I used to be lucky to start out a partnership with one of the iconic manufacturers on the earth. The times have since been stuffed with so many wonderful moments and recollections, if I began naming them, I may go on perpetually,” Tiger wrote. 

He added that there’ll “actually be one other chapter,” although it is unclear if that refers to a future partnership with Nike, or an impartial initiative. 

Nike responded with its personal submit on Instagram.

“It was a hell of a spherical, Tiger,” the corporate mentioned. 

“Tiger, you challenged your competitors, stereotypes, conventions, the old-fashioned mind-set. You challenged your complete establishment of golf. You challenged us. And most of all, your self. And for that problem we’re grateful.”
