Theodore “Ted” Kaczynski, the person generally known as the “Unabomber” for a sequence of bombings concentrating on scientists, was discovered lifeless in his jail cell Saturday morning, a spokesperson for the federal Bureau of Prisons advised CBS Information.  

Kaczynski was 81 years outdated. He was discovered unresponsive in his cell round 8 a.m. at a federal jail in North Carolina, the spokesperson mentioned. 

A explanation for dying was not instantly identified.

On Dec. 14, 2021, Kaczynski was transferred from ADX Florence, a federal supermax jail in Colorado, to the U.S. Bureau of Jail’s FMC Butner medical heart in jap North Carolina, a federal jail spokesperson mentioned. The explanations for his switch weren’t made public.
