UVALDE – The town of Uvalde introduced Tuesday afternoon that Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez has resigned, efficient April 6. 

“The Metropolis of Uvalde is grateful to Chief Rodriguez for his 26 years of service to our group and we want him the very best as he pursues new profession alternatives,” stated Mayor Cody Smith. 

Assistant Chief of Police Homer Delgado will probably be named interim chief of police, Smith stated. 

Rodriguez was the chief when the mass taking pictures at Robb Elementary College happened in Could 2022, however was out of city that day. Lt. Mariano Pargas was working the division throughout the taking pictures. Pargas has since left the division.
